On The Runway Section

That chill in the air can mean only one thing – it’s time to go out and buy new fall clothes! Sweaters are a fall must-have for any Minnesotan, and lucky for us they were also one of the hottest trends spotted on the runways this season. Who knew fashion and function could co-exist?

Cardigan
Club Monaco
102 North Garden
It’s the season to rock the fitted cardigan! This “geek chic” style is great for layering and is the perfect piece to take you from day to night – just throw on some designer denim and you’re ready for a night on the town.

Purple
Burberry
178 South Avenue
Purple is huge right now – even Burberry chose to use this royal hue to spice up their classic pattern this season. From grape to violet, there wasn’t a designer that didn’t have purple in their fall lineup.

Graphic Details
Banana Republic
100 West Market
Known as a symbol of strength, the eagle graphic on this cashmere sweater really stands out on the deep red background. The big, bold logos and graphics from summer are sticking around for fall.

Patterns
Bloomingdale’s
A fun twist on a traditional camouflage print – but don’t count on blending into your surroundings in this Michael Kors knit. From camo to plaid, patterns are hot this season and mixing mis-matched patterns together is even hotter.

Turtleneck
Benetton
152 South Avenue
Turtlenecks are a perennial favorite – this style from Benetton boasts a touch of modernity with the appliqué detail. Plus all the designers are touting gray as the must-have neutral for your wardrobe this season.
