I was punched in the face by an off-duty security guard a few weeks back at the Saloon. Don’t know his name so I couldn’t press charges. Saloon management wouldn’t help me out either. Clearly, I’m never going back to that trashy dump again.

  2. Chiko Chevere says:

Seems like somebody has a bone to pick with the saloon. What’s with all the negativity lately? Seems like we have enough trouble with the outside world without turning on each other. Just sayin’. Big fan of Julie’s column BTW 🙂

  3. Justin says:

When was the last time Lavender actually reported news about violence or anti-gay crimes in Minneapolis without being asked to do so by the police?

If Lavender was a REAL news organization, it would report on the numerous gay bashings, muggings and other anti-gay crimes that happen in the city and quit attacking a community-supportive institution.

Quit with the hatchet jobs, already. Report real news and stop contributing to the stereotypes that gay people are only interested in fashion, drugs and disco!

  4. Justin says:

And any fool that allegedly gets punched in the face by an off-duty officer but doesn’t get a name has only themselves to blame. If it were true, there would be tons of people lining up to give you a name, considering the average payout for police brutality in Minneapolis.
