Drive-In Night at the Movies
Saturday, July 6 • 5:45pm
Vali-Hi Drive-In, 11260 Hudson Blvd. N., Lake Elmo

Join the Minneapolis Movie Bears and the North Country Bears for their first drive-in event of 2013. Each summer the NC Bears and the Movie Bears host a drive-in night, and this social event is always a favorite for many. Best of all, you don’t need to be a bear, cub or otter to attend. There is lots of socializing and eating prior to the first film. All the food, hot dogs, hamburgers, brats, and side dishes are supplied, so you’re only responsible for bringing your own movie snacks and beverages. The drive-in shows three currently showing movies. The first one starts at dusk and the last one gets over around 5am. Stay for one film or all of them. The movies playing that evening will be announced about a week in advance. Get updates and more info on Facebook at “First Drive-In Event with the North Country Bears and the Movie Bears.”

472 Toxique

RadioActiv presented by Toxique Events
Friday, July 12 • 10pm to close
Saloon • 830 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis

Wesley Traen and TJ Oconnor have been in the nightclub scene for 5+ years, and felt something was missing, so they’re taking it up a notch with an event that captures the essence of a Nuclear Wasteland. Creative decorations, a top DJ, and special performances are all on tap for this big event. The setting for RadioActiv will be dark and creepy, but upbeat with the hot beats of Chicago’s DJ Phil DaBeatz, and two guest performances by DiDa Ritz from RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 4.
