Real Weddings: Christina Thompson and Karen (Sells) Thompson

Christina Thompson and Karen (Sells) Thompson

Date of Wedding: October 15, 2010, legally married December 16, 2010
Dating Since: March 16, 2006
Ceremony and Reception: 413 on Wacouta, St. Paul

Christina knew the best way to propose to her first mate, Karen–in the tugboat on top of the Science Museum.  After making Karen trek all around the museum, Christina finally popped the question in the place where they had their first date. Though Karen was completely ecstatic, she made Christina get one knee and formally propose before she said yes.  The two eagerly planned their whole wedding themselves, choosing vendors and assistants that made each part of their special day unforgettable.

Never happier to officiate at a wedding! I love you both and I know that you’ve got something special.

  2. Karen and Christina, great people with great friends and family. They stayed true to the vision they had from start to finish in the planning. They chose awesome vendors to work with that provided great food and music, and let’s not forget the flowers and cake! It was my pleasure to work with Karen and Christina and am honored that they chose 413 on Wacouta!
