Jonathan James Halverson, 36, of Bloomington, passed away unexpectedly on June 29 at University of Minnesota Fairview Hospital in Minneapolis. He was born May 15, 1974, in Paynesville, Minnesota.

Since 2007, Halverson had been an Advertising Account Executive with Lavender Magazine, where he worked with a number of clients, earning their respect and friendship.

Given Halverson’s winning personality, not surprisingly, one of his favorite pastimes was doing stand-up comedy at hotels.

Halverson leaves behind his Grandma, Katherine Halverson; his friend/partner, Bill Hart; his Lavender family; his loving pets, Abby and Phoebe; and many more family and friends. His mother, Doris Halverson, preceded him in death.

A memorial service took place on July 10 at Lakewood Memorial Chapel in Minneapolis.

Memorials in Halverson’s memory may be directed to his family.

Jonathan! It seems like it was just yesterday that I spoke with you. I can’t believe that you are no longer here. You will always be missed and thought of, and never forgotten. We shared many laughs and great times together, thank you for that. I love you always. Today I played one of your favorite songs in your memory! You are an inspiration to me and im certain to also many, many others to whom you touched with your kindness, loving and always caring spirit (with lots of love your pookie). Thank you for saying goodbye when we last spoke! You were always looking for an adventure! never afraid to climb high mountains! and YOU made it!
