Everyone on stage for the May 7 The Theater of Public Policy show identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, or trans. The expert guests, the cast, the host, and the musical director.
The next performance of The Theater of Public Policy (T2P2 for short) will do something only The Theater of Public Policy can: a smart, funny, and thoughtful look at the LGBTQ movement, brought to life by a cast of all LGBTQ improvisers.
The one-night performance titled, We’re Here. We’re Queer. We’re Going To Use a Hashtag. will open with an on-stage interview with Minneapolis Council Member Phillipe Cunningham and Charlie Rounds, Program Manager, Mossier Social Action and Innovation Center. The interview will focus on how the LGBTQ rights movement has changed over the decades, and what different generations of LGBTQ activists can learn from each other.
Then an all LGBTQ cast from The Theater of Public Policy will turn everything discussed into improv comedy.
There will be an opportunity in the second half of the show for audience Q&A with Cunningham and Rounds, followed by one last round of improv by the T2P2 cast.
The T2P2 guests cast for the evening will consist of host Tane Danger, guest and Minneapolis Council Member Phillipe Cunningham, Denzel Belin, music director Dennis Curley, Jim Robinson, Kelly Kohlbacher, Sami Haeli, Denzel Belin, Alexis Camille, and guest Charlie Rounds of Mossier Social Action (center of photo).
