Nordic Craft Workshop: Ceramic Beads and Pendants
Create your own unique jewelry in this two-session class which begins on April 11 and finishes April 18. Students will create their own beads and pendants from clay. The beads and pendants that you make in the first session will be fired and ready for glazing during the second session.
Time and materials will allow for students to make a dozen of each – beads and pendants. Your ceramic creations will be ready for pick-up one week after the class.
Instructor Sue Flanders has been a potter for 25 years and enjoys making things inspired by nature. Leaves and moose are re-occurring themes in her pots. She is also the co-author of “Swedish Handknits: A Collection of Heirloom Designs” featuring a collection of patterns for sweaters, hats, scarves, mittens, headbands and bags – all inspired by the historic textiles in the American Swedish Institute’s collection.
A $5 materials fee is payable to the instructor.
