Spawned in the dark months of Minnesota winter, Breed Alternative is an art collective formed of dozens of multi-disciplinary artists working in a variety of mediums including photography, modeling, fashion design, makeup, hair styling, special effects, painting, graphic design, and more. Breed Alternative is a large collaborative effort, joining artists of all mediums in creative union to create high-concept art projects.
Breed Alternative’s public debut event, “Killer Queens,” is a combination of runway fashion show, art gallery exhibit, variety show of live performance, and silent auction, with all profits from this event donated to Tubman, a local women’s shelter. The runway fashion show will feature wardrobes and crowns from multiple designers, including latex dresses by Bohica Designs, body harnesses and accessories from Apatico, and more. The gallery show will feature fine art photography from Emma Wondra Photography, James L. Gross (JG Studios), Nathanael England (Oneiros Imaging), Darin Roy (Nokturnal Void), David Kasynayuk Photography, and more, made exclusively for this event. Live entertainment will include live shibari performance by Black Ryver and Kahlia Kat, burlesque and drag performances by Ahhme Gione, Roman Hart, Sinasaurus Rex, Vod Sinclair, Hussy Hautepants, Keke Boudreaux, and more. The silent auction will feature a variety of items, including artwork from Breed Alternative members, gift certificates/cards from Ink Lab, Saint Sabrina’s, and other sponsors, professional photography sessions, makeup, clothing, henna sessions, and much more.
