Great Makers Exchange
Ready, set, make! ASI invites you to a gathering for makers, painters, crafters, carvers, weavers and creators. Whether you’re a pro or a weekend DIY-er, Great Makers Exchange is your chance to get a little messy, make something beautiful and connect with fellow craft enthusiasts at the American Swedish Institute.
From carving to painting, to pottery and weaving, craft experts from across the region will lead hands-on workshops throughout the day. For the less-crafty inclined, artists will be on-site offering demonstrations and original works to take home. Workshop and class registration will open on June 1.
The Great Makers Exchange features and includes:
Two-hour craft workshops in a variety of craft mediums. Your chance to try something new!
The Makers Market – engage with artists & organizations making and selling their wares
The Young Makers Studio – drop-in craft activities for youth and families
Admission to the American Swedish Institute
Guided tours of the historic Turnblad Mansion – a maker’s mecca full of ornate wood carvings, textiles and original artwork
Great Makers-inspired menu offerings available all day at FIKA, ASI’s award-winning café.
