Who grows the food that you eat? Are we fed by more than food alone? MPLS (imPulse) will close out their fourth season with Gardens are Prolific, a choral experience celebrating food, farming, and the communities who bring food to our tables. Music for this performance shares a connection to gardens, produce, and our role in earth sustainability.
The core of the MPLS (imPulse) mission is to foster novel collaborations unlikely in the traditional choral music scene. Collaborators for Gardens include Growing Lots Urban Farm and holistic health coach, Alex Nyman Stalberger. In addition to music from the choir, audience members will plant their own sprouts with Growing Lots and learn more about their work in community supported agriculture (CSA). Stalberger will present a video demonstrating uses for produce from a CSA and how and why eating local positively impacts our bodies and our communities.
