Barilla Exec Apologizes For Remarks On Gays

USA Today reports that, bowing to continuing criticism of his controversial remarks about gays, Guido Barilla has pledged to meet with groups “that best represent the evolution of the family, including those who have been offended by my words.”

    I still won’t buy his product. Him and others like him have absolutely no concept of how hurtful their words are until they see how their words damage their bank accounts. Apologies after you see how your words and ideas come back to haunt you are meaningless. People like this have no innate sense of respect for others and don’t deserve my respect or business.

    I agree with Gord! Although I am willing to give him the benefit of a doubt, Signor Barilla’s apology seems to be more a damage control effort! If sincere, he should go further and make “al dente” efforts. Evolve already!!! Presto presto!
