Very interesting, Wanda! I just watched the movie before listening to your progrum. In fact, this movie can be found on Youtube, in its entirety!

I really liked that movie. I saw it because I saw clips of it in “the Celluloid Closet” and then told my partner (who had very good internet-fu) to find it somewhere on the internet.

I watched it with my faggle, and it was sort of fun and sort of scary at the long time.

It was creepy because one of the actors shares my name.

Wanda: You should call the movie Klerb “What’s Wanda Watchin’”. I think it’d be adorable and alliterative.

I first discovered Boys in the Band in high school when I snuck and watched it on PBS. Then we would rent the VHS version from Logli’s and watch it at my Aunt’s house while house sitting. The movie provided a glimpse into another life, of a group of frenemies just being themselves. The VHS version was very murky and I’ve been waiting for the DVD version for years. So when I saw the DVD at HMV, I grabbed it. I’ve seen hundreds of gay-themed movies but few are as truthful and relevant as Boys. You’re right, Wanda, that I am always left wanting more. I want to be in that paisley wallpapered apartment, smelling the pot smoke and gin. The beauty of the DVD is that I can now can move in closer.
