Wanda I wrote this because I’ve seen too many people caring these “H8″ signs and I think these people are defeating themselves before they even get out of the gate with that ideology. Let me know what you think.

I’ve seen all of these photos of people caring signs reading, “I am a victim of H8″ and I look at these people and couldn’t agree with them more. They are a victim. However, when I think in terms of myself, I am not one of those victims.

Now I know we have the same persecutions and whatnot, but I refuse to let my oppressor have the satisfaction that they have made me a victim.

Victimization is a state of mind and in my heart and mind I am not a victim. Think about it. If you are a victim, then you are saying you let them win, you let them beat you for good. They won a battle over you that you can never amend. You are admitting you are weak and that someone else needs to come to your rescue. Well my brothers and sisters, I am a man who can and will stand for my own self. I will never be a victim of “H8″/hate. I may be oppressed but by no means will I let my oppressor win over me.

They may not like me, they may not tolerate me; they can beat me with every beat of their heart but by God I swear, that I will not go quietly into the night! I will not be beaten. I will not stay down, I will rise with every fall. I will never give in no matter how difficult the battle. I am a human being and I have a gift in me that was bestowed upon me by my ever loving Creator, the gift of sheer will. I have the will to demand what is mine. I have the will to take what is mine and I have the will to keep moving forward, to keep crashing through barriers and if I can’t get through them, I’ll go around them!

I may need help from my peers at times but I am NOT HELPLESS! I am not a victim! I am a survivor and I am a very determined human being!

    I am not a victim!

wanda what you need to do is to get the senitors to change the United States Constitution and make an amendment to the Constitution to allow equal freedoms for all including marrage

HEY WANDA HERE IS WHAT CANADA DID THE USA NEEDS TO DO SOMTHING SIMILAR SO IT CANT BE STRUCK DOWN BY SOME LOUSY PROPISITION

Between 2002 and 2005, courts in several provinces and one territory ruled that restricting marriage to opposite-sex couples constitutes a form of discrimination that is prohibited by Section 15 of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, and struck down the federal definition, requiring that those jurisdictions register same-sex marriages. The first ruling required the federal government to draft legislation recognizing same-sex marriage, but later rulings brought the new definition into effect immediately in the jurisdictions concerned. Canadian jurisdictions thereby became the third in the world to allow same-sex marriage, after the Netherlands and Belgium.

By July 2005, same-sex marriages were legally recognized in all provinces and territories except Alberta, Prince Edward Island, Northwest Territories and Nunavut, encompassing over 85% of Canada’s population of roughly 31 million people. (See Same-sex marriage in Canada.)

The federal government announced in the summer of 2003 that it would not appeal the decisions, and would draft legislation to allow same-sex marriages across the country. The bill was put before the Supreme Court of Canada to ensure that it would withstand a Charter challenge by those who oppose same-sex marriage. The Supreme Court heard arguments on the draft legislation in October 2004. The bill was passed by Parliament in July 2005 making Canada the fourth country to legalize same-sex marriage nationwide, and the first to do so without a residency requirement. (See Civil Marriage Act)
