Rapeseed is the crop that Canola Oil comes from. Even though Canola is an acronym for “Canadian oilseed, low-acid” that was introduced only for a specific variety of rapeseed oil, it’s pretty common for rapeseed oils that aren’t really “canola” oils to be labeled as such because of the unsavory name
