Wanda Dearest... I have heard you talk and you have the brainpower and GOBS of charm to keep anyone who doesn't know you engaged and feeling special enough to want to get to know you better. You make your entire audience listen to you and love you simply because you are witty and delicious. All you need to do is carry that fabulousness around with you in a little purse, and sprinkle it on interested parties.

Here are my tips... I'm not sure if they'll be the best for you... but it sounds like you just need a few icebreaker inspirations.

Just Go Over to that interesting boy... say "Hello, My name is Wanda Wisdom... and you looked like someone that would be interesting to talk to. How are you this [region of daylight] (morning, afternoon, evening, etc)?" It's a nice, easy opening: You compliment them by being honest without relying on physical appearance insomuch as you admit that you think you should strike up a chat. You also give them a polite means to excuse themselves from a conversation if they are busy or not interested that won't hurt anyones feelings.

Hopefully, they will say "why thank you, I'm fine and my name is ______________, what brings you here?" and the conversation is Off-And-Running. I'm sure after you do a few conversations you'll get bolder and eventually start getting numbers or casual conversations... and even if several of them only turn out to be friends or acquaintances, you'll be extending your network of nifty people and meeting their friends and generally increasing your oppurtunities.

Just don't ever doubt yourself. You're much to fantastic to not go out and meet cool people.
