You go Wanda! Loved todays show. Poignant, relevant, articulate and fun. Thank you for being yourself. Tootles!
Ugh!! Have you ever lived in a neighborhood that had a meth house in it? I have. If you havent lived in a neighborhood with a meth house in it you really cant have an educated opinion. Who knows, maybe a website like that in my city would have helped keep that house out of the ‘hood.
hiya, wandakins…
this was an amazing episode…it made me realize how much i miss your rants!
I’m listening in reverse order. I know this little box here is for “comments’ not diatribes. So… sorry for the last one posted under a latter podcast. Meth. Politicians. There was a meth house in my neighborhood years ago. Nobody knew it until it got busted. The thing is the kid that was sent to jail for several years was not only an aquaintance and neighbor (and really young) he was a good kid that I knew from highschool. That’s the sad part. He got caught up in something bad. Now he’s hopefully done with the terrible consiquence and it would be nice if he had a chance to go back to normal life. That’s nonsense. Whatever that politician is tying to pull. Probably end up just talk anyhow. My friend and I were talking a bit about politics and I just realized how much I miss Ventura. Were you here. He was cool. Allway’s doing practical things. Saying what he felt about stuff. He never felt the need to lie or skirt an issue so he was always in the media at least for that. Forget that he was accomplishing things.
Anyhow, Here’s a quote I say when politics becomes a bit overwhelming… A way to center self. It’s from a metaphisical rapper “…Politics gonna show ya how? Common now.” -PM dawn (Either “the bliss album” or “Jesus wept” And heres another one when personal issues seem a bit to much “There can be solice in submiting to the fitfully crypticly true, I don’t understand, I may never understand, but I’ll try an understand. Nothin’ else I can do.” From Fiona Apples latest “Extraordinary Machine.
Another long post here on your wonderful site. Hope you don’t mind. Take care…. hope your having a nice weekend.
Hello there wanda,
I was really enjoying this episode because it’s healthy. Here in Holland, the country that used to be tolerant about lots of things, there are more and more political parties, groups, people who get all conservative about things and start claiming more controle, more tough action, more, more. And when you live the daily live here, you tend to agree with them, because you see bad things happening and start to believe that, if it was controled, or if it was harshly punished, it wouldn’t happen.
But when I listen to signals like yours, I really wake-up again and see that it’s not all as simple as these (mostly) right-wing, conservative, populistic politicians claim to be.
Thanks for the fresh idea and opinions who shake us and wakes us again from the bull-shit of politicians.
Thanks.
