This was absolutely hilarious. Hope your birthday week is going well Wanda. I agree that it should continue for the month before, and probably a month afterwards as well, so happy birthday.

I do have a comment about the situational context of s*xuality and nature/nuture stuff. I don't think this is what's most important in the debate. And just so you know, eye color isn't precisely immutable either.

If you take the side that it's genetic, that's not exactly going to give you rights either. Taking the context of this week, eugenics has been a very popular reason for explicitly denying people rights not granting them (let's put all the homos on a train!)

If you take the context that it's socially constructed, then people will just say it's a choice that isn't a good choice.

Ultimately, it has to do with valuing gay people as gay people. Trying to look for a scientific explanation for s*xuality (while I'm all for it) could also be used to make new "therapies" for gay people (gene therapy, avoidance in conception of gay people), whereas the social context is never consistent. One minute gays are effeminate, powerless, drug-addicts that are completely depraved, and then the next gay people are affluent, powerful and taking over the world.

Anyway, just thoughts, but a good show, and hilarious.

ALSO, I really hope that your move goes okay. I would totally volunteer if I were there. When I just moved to SF with my partner, there was hardly anyone we knew, and we were moving up floors of stairs that were circular. Hopefully, it will all go well. AND GET SOME BITCHES TO HELP YOU! (It just breaks my heart)
