Great conversation, and I loved Krebs on the show!

I gotta agree, what is with those guys saying they're "straight acting"? Does that mean they're ashamed maybe? I just don't understand it. It's like saying Bush is doing a good job, no one's gonna believe it! I'm not judgin', I'm just sayin' :p

And also MattBurgess, as I recall...watching the two of you banter back and forth with thinly-veiled "sweetie" comments was like watching Maggie Smith and Diana Rigg in "Evil Under the Sun."

*sigh* At least there was no Cole Porter music...

<a href="http://foxinthecity.libsyn.com/index.php?post_id=33813&comments=on" rel="nofollow"> What shall henceforth be referred to as 'the incident'</a>

Check near the bottom. Now, granted, I wasn't very nice to Ragan. I thought I was just being dishy, but I seriously pissed him off.

*disclaimer disclaimer disclaimer, psyton doesn't consider himself straight-acting and probably could light candles when he gets excited*

I dunno what it is about gay podcasters and gay men who refer to themselves as straight-acting. From what I could tell, "Str8 acting" was just another label/scene/mannerism like "Bear" or "twink" or "drag queen". But some queercasters seem to keep getting into these evaluations about whether the men behind straight-acts are these self-loathing closet cases, or otherwise trying to discover some sinister root behind the phenomenon. I am touchey on this subject becaue I seriously layed into Ragan Fox once about how I thought he was really too quick to diagnose straight-acting men as scum-of-the-gay-world for one of his rants (considering his sources were porn and Gay.com). Unfortunately, the tone of my counter-rant upset him instead of enlightened him and he demanded I stop listening to his podcast :3 .

Could it be that they just don't see themselves fitting into some sort of gay stereotype of sensitivity or wishi-washiness? Might they be exactly like a semi-macho run-of-the-mill straight guy except for that craving for cock? I mean, there are arguments that can be made against fetishizing actual straight men, but I'm not sure this new fad warrants these specious arguments about their psyche and underlying currents of homophobia.

Not that Wanda or Adam were making those claims, but the "I'm not sure what to think about..." moments sort of got my ears prickling.

Great show you'se guys.

This show was delicious to make. The ice cream sandwich I had afterwards paled in comparison. Thank you Wanda!
