Lucky Bitch Radio with Wanda Wisdom

Well, I made it to the Wisdom family homestead here in sunny 65 degree Houston, ladies! Ma and Pa Wisdom are taking their requisite afternoon nappy poos, so I thought I’d stop by and let you gals know I’m alive.

I’m writing this entry on my mother’s mind-numbingly ancient iMac… from 1999… running OS 8.6! Later today, we’re going to go churn butter and make lye soap…. Good lord!

Nonetheless, I’m very happy to be with the ‘rents. Pa and I stayed up til the wee hours chatting about the war and his own experiences in Vietnam. Ma fell asleep after her usual pre-bedtime Tootsie Roll binge. She’s all of 130 lbs, but she can eat her weight in Tootsie Rolls every week. Clearly, I didn’t inherit that gene. Bitch!
I’ll be recording as much as I can, but will likely have to post it when I return to the North Pole on Sunday. Puffy and I are planning on recording some stuff via telephone later tonight, so stop back on Friday and see what we came up with.

In any case, let me take this opportunity to again thank all of you for your gifts, kind words, and dedicated listenership. As I reflect on the time we’ve spent together over the last year, I’m completely awed by the amount of love and friendship this whole experience has created. We are, indeed, lucky bitches with much to be grateful for.

And now, I’m going to head downstairs and inhale whatever food isn’t tied down or locked away. Then I shall recline to the sunny patio and read a good book, possibly napping as the sun blankets my bloated, white corpse. As I drift off to dreamland, I’ll be thinking of all of you… wishing I could reach out and give each of you a great big drag queen hug and buckets of sloppy drag queen kisses.
