I want to join the movie club! Love the idea.

The first movie I recall seeing a gay character was "The Group" (with a lesbian character played by a very young Candice Bergen) when I was a little boy. Guess, I'm showing my age here!

And, Tigger, I've been bitter and jaded for so long, I can't recall when I became bitter and jaded.

The first gay film I saw...Parting Glances in the mid 80's. It featured a very young Steve Buscemi. Although the movie dealt with a very serious subject matter, AIDS, I felt so empowered watching such a beautiful little film. I will always think of my very early gay youth when I see that film...before I got bitter and jaded.
